Privacy Policy

Central Jersey Muslim League (“CJML”, “we”) operates cjmleague.com, a public website for scores, schedules, standings, statistics, news, and media from CJML basketball, football, and soccer seasons. Questions about this policy can be sent to cjmleague@gmail.com.

The site displays names, jersey numbers, team affiliations, photos, game and season statistics, and video or photo coverage of league participants. This information is provided to us by players and captains when they register for a CJML season.

As part of registration, every participant agrees that their name, likeness, image, and performance may be published on cjmleague.com and in CJML marketing, social media, and league communications. If you registered and no longer want a specific photo or profile shown, email us and we will review and remove or adjust it.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga) and records:

• Pages viewed and the order they were viewed in
• Which player, team, and game pages are opened (page path and the name shown on the page, not who you are)
• Approximate location (city or region), device type, browser, and screen size
• Referring site or search engine, when available

Google processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. Analytics is not loaded on admin pages.

Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. These are retained for a limited time and are not used to identify individual visitors.

To remember your preferences, the site stores a few values in your browser’s local storage: the season you last selected for each sport, recent search queries, and, for administrators, the signed-in session. These values stay on your device, are not sent to us as tracking data, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Media and social pages embed posts and videos from third-party platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, and may embed other networks in the future. When an embed loads, that platform may set its own cookies and collect data about your visit exactly as if you had visited their site directly. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

The contact form opens your own email app with a pre-filled message. Nothing you type is stored on our servers; we receive it only when you choose to send the email. We use the information you include to respond to your request.

League staff sign in to a private dashboard to publish content. For those accounts we store an email address, display name, optional profile photo, role, and permissions. Authentication is handled by Supabase; passwords are never visible to us. Admin accounts are created by invitation only.

We rely on the following providers to run the site. Each processes data on our behalf:

• Supabase (database, file storage, admin authentication), hosted in the United States
• Railway (application hosting)
• Google Analytics (site usage measurement)
• GameGrid (live scoring and statistics for current seasons)
• YouTube and Instagram (embedded media)

We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertisers.

• Ask us to correct or remove your player profile, photo, or other personal details
• Ask what information we hold about you
• Block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser at any time
• Opt out of Google Analytics using the tools linked above

To make a request, email cjmleague@gmail.com. We respond within a reasonable time and will verify that a request about a player profile comes from that player or their guardian.

cjmleague.com does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. Where a registered participant is a minor, publication of their name and likeness is consented to by a parent or guardian during registration.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
