CJML Sports League
Rules
Standards for fair play, safety, and consistent competition across CJML sports.
General conduct
- Respect officials, opponents, teammates, and venue staff at all times.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment, or fighting may result in suspension.
- Teams are responsible for their sideline behavior and fans in their area.
- League commissioners may issue warnings, fines, or removals for repeated violations.
Eligibility & rosters
- Players must be registered on an official roster before participating in a game.
- Roster changes follow commissioner deadlines; late adds may require approval.
- Players may not appear on more than one roster in the same sport unless league policy allows.
- Photo ID or roster verification may be required at playoffs or championship events.
Scheduling & forfeits
- Published schedules are official; teams should confirm times and locations before game day.
- Forfeits must be communicated to the league as early as possible.
- Unexcused no-shows may count as a loss and can affect playoff seeding.
- Weather or facility closures: follow league announcements for make-up dates.
Basketball
Games follow standard CJML basketball format unless the season bulletin states otherwise. Commissioners set game length, foul limits, and overtime rules before the season starts.
- Technical fouls carry league review; repeated techs may lead to suspension.
- Only registered players and listed coaches may occupy the bench area.
- Scorekeeping and stat entry should be completed before teams leave the venue.
Football
Flag or touch formats use league-approved equipment. Player safety gear requirements are defined in the season captains meeting notes.
- Illegal contact and targeting rules are enforced; ejections are at official discretion.
- Teams must field a minimum roster to avoid forfeit.
- Protests on scoring plays must be raised with officials before the next snap when possible.
Soccer
Matches use FIFA-inspired laws adapted for CJML field size, roster size, and substitution windows published each season.
- Yellow and red card accumulation may carry automatic suspensions.
- Slide tackles and dangerous play are penalized; repeat offenders may be removed from play.
- Teams must provide a captain or designated representative at check-in.
